2010 is almost here...yipes! And, have you considered why is it that this time every year feels like these images? So many incidents and memories of situations addressed during the past year. So many of them were just 'right', we did the 'right' thing. While so many others where we were asleep, oblivious to what was happening, or just simply 'drunk' with a sensation, feeling, passion, drive, an intent, a purpose, one or more of so many drives that never let us 'see' what was coming at us - what was in front of us - which banged us smack in the forehead and bent us "over backwards". Someone just wished me the usual at these times, and added, "it's a fresh, new, start". The thought that came by was that of "...really?" That IS a myth! IT IS THE MYTH! Have you ever felt the certainty surrounding the phrase "they don't deserve to win" uttered in the final moments of your favorite bowl game, as you watch your team crumble, melt down and hand the win over, in the face of the opposition? That's how things feel today, after yesterday's events in the Senate. A stronger team, much more polished, 'thirsty' for a "win" after years of 'beatings' as they were pushed by the 'league's bully', can not come together and overrun less than half a bench of sour, quasi-leaderless fellows.
