I am not liking these daily planners...the one liners at the top of the pages

In Sunday's calendar there was this thought at the top of the page, by H. Norman Schwarzkopf: you might remember who he is...the commander of all coalition forces for Operation Desert Shield/Storm, also known as "Stormin' Norman" . reference link
Well, the daily "inspiration" reads: "The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it".
That was a theme in my life today...quite a "co - incidence"! Hmmmm; wonder what's going on...!
Then, as I started the day, my eyes naturally went to the quote of the new - next - day, to check out if there was another one by "Stormin' Norman". NO, this time it was by a "Mr. Eckhart"...must be quite a common guy. Oooppsss! Sorry. It is "Meister", not "Mr."; I apologize.
Anyway, this "guy" has another one liner that reads: "One must not always think so much about what one should do, but rather what one should be. Our works do not ennoble us, but we must ennoble our works".
Oooppps! If that were so, how many of us have been hooked by the "value" of "titles": Bachelor's, Master's, PhD's, "Sir", "Hon.", etc. How about..."Supervisor, Manager, Director...CEO"? We work for the title to come?, and with it, the "ennobling"? (And the goodies that accompany that!). While this "Mister", better yet, "Master", for "Meister" is German for "Master" as in the academic title "Magister in Theologia" , throws all of it overboard: "it is us who must ennoble our works"! , and "...think what one should be!".
I agree with Stormin' Norman: "it is hard".
