Speaking of vulnerability

Brené Brown's website

Just saw this TED Talk...

Brene Brown: The power of vulnerability

...it blew my socks off (and it is cold today in Atlanta!). Brené Brown held my attention for the length of this video, one which I'll see again, and one that I want to see again. Why? Because she points to an important learning: for me, and maybe for you, and for all of us -  a learning around vulnerability.

Hearing from her voice characteristics I have lived and which may have (not may, but - have...!) deterred me from being... (modifier to be inserted here) vulnerable (is that more...?, or more frequently...?, more disposed to?....or better yet, from having a life's position of leaning into it...), takes the edge off: pushes a horrible fear to the side, if only for a minute, while I am able to garner the courage to peep into the 'scary' situation that is requesting that I apply "my vulnerability" 'being' in all its breath and depth.

Yes - I know. "What? What are you saying?"

Better yet - let her tell you. Watch this talk, and rejoice. It is sort of exciting, and scary!, but reassuring!

PS1: drop a comment will you?
