2014 is here....

The typical and so talked about item around this time is that of intentions: so many good intentions set out there! And that is good. Intentions help us focus, and the process that gets us our intentions is superb: we focus on behaviors we do not want, and set the internal compass, cybernetic guidance systems - hopefully! - to the intentions objective or goal.

Well, in a sense, what is so special about the "New Year"? It is just a marker, for time continues flowing uninterruptedly, and we become, as a friend says, "chronologically advanced"! What is the magic? (YEs - I know. There is a lot involved, and I am not putting it down. This is just another way of looking at it.) Someway, somehow, when I set an intention for the new year, ti sort of fumes out like a nice cologne swab or perfumed lady walking by. Additionally, it is too large: "next year", in terms of space, and time.

I came across this header from Ekhart Yoga, which fit nicely into the soup of thoughts. Credit to Esther, at Ekhart yoga.

New Year's festivities brought again the notion of the only thing I have, and you, and all of us, and that is the present moment...the now! There, here, things are not that bad!
