On this day...6July'16...

This morning I was notified of the passing of José Juan Dumont.

A very special human being.

Husband of Irmita...Brother of Nilda Rosa.

Father to 3 tremendous women: Nani, Maru & Jessie.
Joten...joguito!

Uncle to 3 fabulous human beings: Adlín Marie, Jocelyn Marie, José Javier.

Cousins, the 6 of them.

All affected by Joten's passing. [And many, many more, whose name I do not know, children of his girls; and family of theirs, and Irmita's family, and his friends...and...and...all who knew him!]

So many memories, and all 'good' times, even when there was discomfort and/or pain. And Joten was always strong, tall, assured and assuring, smiling. Never had room for 'sticky' energy. All always well.

Honoring the pain that surrounds all, I share the thoughts of this morning, prior to the news - the daily thoughts of Nepo's book.

July 6, 2016: "To Witness and Hold"

Nilda Rosa y Joten
"...it becomes clear that the deepest suffering of heart and spirit cannot be solved, only witnessed and held."

"frequently, this reflex to solve, rescue, and fix removes us from the tenderness at hand. For often, intimacy arises not from the attempt to take the pain away, but from a living through together; not from a working out, but from a being with. Trust and closeness deepen from holding and being held, both emotionally and physically."
May all of us feel his holding, and each other's, these days.
